This guide will walk you through the process of selecting winners for your PromoAmp competition. PromoAmp offers a fair and transparent winner selection process with multiple options to suit your needs.
Accessing the Draw Winner Feature
Log in to your PromoAmp dashboard
Navigate to your competition by clicking on its name
Click on the **Draw Winner** tab in the competition management interface
You'll now see the winner selection interface
Understanding Entry Validation
Before drawing winners, you may want to validate entries to ensure participants have completed all required actions:
Go to the **Entries** tab in your competition management interface
Review the list of participants and their completed actions
Use the filter options to view entries by status:
- **All Entries**: Shows all participants
- **Valid Entries**: Shows only participants who have completed all required actions
- **Invalid Entries**: Shows participants who haven't completed all required actions
Manually validate entries if needed by clicking the "Validate" button next to each entry
Drawing Winners Using the Spinning Wheel
The most engaging way to select winners is using the spinning wheel:
In the **Draw Winner** tab, you'll see the spinning wheel interface
By default, the wheel includes all valid entries
You can filter the entries using the dropdown menu:
- **All Entries**: Includes everyone who entered
- **Valid Entries Only**: Includes only those who completed all required actions
- **Custom Filter**: Create a specific filter based on entry criteria
Click the **Spin** button to start the wheel
The wheel will spin and randomly select a winner
Once a winner is selected, you'll see their details displayed
You can mark this person as a winner by clicking the **Select as Winner** button
Scratch-to-Reveal Winner Selection
For a more interactive experience, especially when revealing winners during a live event:
In the **Draw Winner** tab, select the **Scratch-to-Reveal** option
The system will randomly select a winner but hide their identity behind a scratch card
During your live event, you can reveal the winner by "scratching" the card
Click and drag your cursor across the scratch area to gradually reveal the winner
Once fully revealed, you can mark this person as a winner
This feature is perfect for live streams or video announcements, creating an exciting moment for your audience as they watch the winner being revealed.
Bulk Winner Selection
If your competition has multiple prizes or winners:
In the **Draw Winner** tab, click on the **Bulk Select** option
Enter the number of winners you want to select
Choose your filter criteria for eligible entries
Click **Draw Winners**
The system will randomly select the specified number of winners
Review the list of selected winners
Click **Confirm Winners** to finalize your selection
Managing Selected Winners
After selecting winners:
All chosen winners will appear in the **Winners** section
You can view their contact information to reach out about their prize
Use the **Export** button to download a CSV file with winner details
If needed, you can remove someone from the winners list by clicking the "Remove" button
Notifying Winners
PromoAmp offers multiple ways to notify winners:
**Email Notification**: Send an automated email to winners by clicking the **Notify by Email** button
**Manual Contact**: Use the exported contact information to reach out personally
**Public Announcement**: Use the **Share Winners** button to generate a public winners page that you can share on social media
Using AI to Enhance Winner Announcements
PromoAmp's AI features can help you create engaging winner announcements:
After selecting your winners, click on the **Create Announcement** button
Choose from templates or let the AI generate a custom announcement
The AI will create a professionally written announcement that you can:
- Send directly to winners
- Post on your social media channels
- Include in your email newsletter
Customize the announcement as needed before sharing
Verifying Winner Eligibility
Before finalizing winners, you may want to verify their eligibility:
Click on a winner's name to view their detailed entry information
Check that they've completed all required actions
Review their entry timestamp to ensure they entered during the competition period
If you find any issues with eligibility, you can remove them and select a new winner
Redrawing Winners
If a selected winner doesn't respond or is ineligible:
Remove them from the winners list by clicking the "Remove" button
Return to the drawing interface
Click **Redraw** to select a replacement winner
Follow the same process to confirm and notify the new winner
